Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-09
We want VDS Pro to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement explains what's currently accessible, what isn't, and what we're doing about it. This is required for UK public-sector procurement and is something we take seriously regardless.
Standard we aim for
Our public-facing website (vdspro.net) targets the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard. We are partially compliant — we have not yet completed a full audit and there are known gaps listed below.
What works well
- The site can be operated by keyboard alone.
- Pages use semantic HTML (headings, landmarks, lists) so screen readers announce structure correctly.
- Colour contrast meets AA on most surfaces.
- Form fields have explicit labels.
- The site works at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Known gaps
- Some marketing graphics use images of text rather than real text.
- Form error messages are not yet announced via
aria-live. - The simulator client itself (Unity) has not been audited for accessibility and has known limitations including high motion content.
- Some interactive elements lack visible focus rings on dark backgrounds.
What we're doing
- Tracking known issues and prioritising fixes alongside other product work.
- Using a small set of accessible patterns (semantic HTML, descriptive link text, labelled form fields) by default in all new work.
- Welcoming feedback from users who hit accessibility issues — we treat them as bugs, not feature requests.
Reporting accessibility issues
If you find a barrier that's not listed above, or you have trouble using anything on this site, please email support@vdspro.net. Tell us:
- The URL of the page.
- What you were trying to do.
- What happened, and what assistive technology you were using if any.
We aim to respond within 5 working days.
Enforcement
If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Equality Advisory and Support Service (UK) or the equivalent body in your country.
